Disc golf is a game that can be played by all ages and genders. It gets you out into parks and nature all year round. It provides an easy and fun way to get exercise and it’s great to play with friends.

The disc golf community in Glasgow is very welcoming and inclusive, so please do say hello to other players you see at the courses.

If you would like to, you can also take the game a little more seriously and enter leagues and competitions, both locally, nationally and internationally.

The home of disc golf in Glasgow, the GDGC website provides information on all of the courses in the city as well as a way to sign-up to the various competitions that are put on throughout the year.


Buy Discs and Disc Golf Equipment

With no local shops to buy disc golf discs or equipment you will need to look online. Both Reboot Disc Golf and the Glasgow Disc Golf Club can help you. Get a starter set of three discs for only £20.

Scottish Disc Golf Association

The Scottish Disc Golf Association are able to provide you with help and advice about lots of disc golf related topics, including support if you’re looking to set-up a new disc golf course.


Reboot Disc Golf

Reboot Disc Golf is a great resource for disc golf in Scotland. They organise and run many of the competitions in Scotland and have information on the Bluebell Woods Disc Golf Course which they run near Dunbar.


uDisc

uDisc is a brilliant app and website aimed at disc golfers. When installed on Android or iOS it enables you to keep score of a round, enter stats, join friends and guides you around a course if you don’t know it. There is a free version, however if you’re serious about the game that you can get a Pro subscription.


Doubles League

Held at courses across Glasgow the Doubles League is an opportunity to meet and play with other disc golfers and even win some cash. Anyone can take part, just show up on the day. Entry is £5 per person and this money is used to give a prize to the winners on the day. Some of it also goes into an “Ace Fund”. If anyone gets an ace during the round then they win the money, could be as much as £100.
